Still Grinding: Mid-Year Checkpoint
It's wild to think we're already deep into July. Weekly Wednesday videos, dozens of livestreams, and a lot of quiet growth happening behind the scenes. I've said it before, but it's worth repeating: showing up every week is the real metric I'm chasing right now.
Weekly Content Rhythm
The commitment to post every Wednesday has been wild. Not every video is a banger and some weeks I feel like I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel - but I keep going for it.
If you've been watching or lurking on stream, you've probably noticed how I'm still all over the place with what I want to play and do, but at least we have a schedule.
Workout Rhythm
This week ends a 9 week run of going to the gym three times a week. We missed one workout out of all 27, not bad!
Behind the Scenes
Some updates you may not have seen:
Still tinkering with UOAddicts.com - lots of minor updates, better performance, and a few new features rolled out quietly.
Slowly getting back into some coding under some contract work. It's been good but always looking for more.
Been exploring how to better use short-form content (like YT Shorts) but hit a wall. I need to revisit this portion for sure!
A clicker game is in development that I would love to publish to Steam.
Lessons from the Last 7 Months
This year has taught me a few things:
Momentum is everything. When I pause too long, it's hard to restart - so I need to keep pushing.
Done is better than perfect. I still want to improve quality, but I don't want perfection to be the enemy of progress (even though it kind of is at times).
Shout out to the regulars who show up in chat and the comments - it's helpful fuel to keep the fire burning.
What’s Next
Here's what I’m focusing on next:
Tighten up stream segments to feel more polished.
Test one “bigger” YouTube video each month - something more in-depth or creative.
Maybe revisit some coding tutorials or devlogs? Still on the fence, but curious what people think.
If you've been watching, commenting, or lurking -- thank you. We've been on this journey for a while but I want it to keep going!
Peace.
