At the end of July, I took a beach trip for a family reunion. It was a great time, but when I got back… getting back into the groove was tough. I missed a YouTube upload, skipped a few workouts, and even after returning home, it took me a while to find my rhythm again.
This week, I've been working hard to lock the schedule back in and so far, I'm on track.
But there's a big difference now compared to last month: my severance pay is gone.
That means there's no more financial cushion. I _have_ to make this work - my streaming, my content creation, my side gigs - or I'll need to start looking for a job again.
I'm responsible for my family of five, plus two bunnies, a cat, and a dog. My parents are gone. There's no backup plan. That's heavy pressure, but I'm trying to turn it into fuel.
The Goals From Here
I've been streaming for three years starting on July 10th 2022. I now have 539 streams logged but I've only made about 76 regular YouTube videos and 60 Shorts. I know I need to change that. My blog, my videos, my streaming, my social media - they need to work together, not just exist in separate silos.
And there's the Steam game I started.. and haven't touched since before the beach trip. It's been sitting there unfinished for three weeks. That's got to change too.
So my realistic but ambitious plan:
1. Content Consistency Keep streaming but add at least one full YouTube video and 2–3 Shorts per week.
2. Social Media Tie-In Start actively posting content clips across multiple platforms instead of letting them sit on YouTube alone.
3. Game Development Time Dedicate specific blocks to getting the Steam game moving again.
4. Weekend Push It's Friday at 9:35 AM as I write this and my goal is to hit this weekend _hard_ and build momentum I can keep.
Why I'm Sharing This
This blog is my public accountability. If I post it here, I'm committing to it. If I fall off again, I'll have to admit it and I don't like admitting it.
The pressure is real. The stakes are high. But I believe I can make this work - not just because I want to, but because I _have_ to.
